Sky ICT Showcases 2021 Performance with Total Revenue of 3,007 Million, Strong Backlog of 17,216 Million, Prepares to Announce Business Direction for 2022
Sky ICT has revealed its 2021 financial results, achieving a total revenue of 3,007 million, maintaining strength amid COVID-19 as it continues to penetrate the private sector. The company highlights TOSSAKAN, its flagship product, as it enters the Smart Security Platform market, confident in its robust backlog of 17,216 million, with ongoing revenue recognition. Plans to announce business strategies for stability are set for the first quarter of 2022.
Mr. Sitthidet Mailap, CEO of Sky ICT Public Company Limited (SKY), a leader in innovation development, Digital Platform services, and national AI Solutions, disclosed that by the end of 2021 (Jan-Dec 2021), the company achieved total revenue of 3,007.84 million and a net profit of 55.20 million. This demonstrates the company’s ability to maintain its strength despite the ongoing pressures from the COVID-19 pandemic.
One reason for the company’s sustained strength is its ability to deliver both sales and comprehensive system integration services to various agencies as scheduled. Simultaneously, the company has expanded its Digital Platform business to create new revenue opportunities, leveraging its expertise in managing surveillance cameras to develop a Smart Security Platform that ensures safety across seven building categories under the name TOSSAKAN. This flagship product aims to fully penetrate the private sector, in line with the company’s revenue diversification and long-term growth strategy. This overall approach has allowed the company to maintain profitable operations, even with the project for advance passenger screening systems (APPS) being affected by the COVID-19 situation.
Mr. Sitthidet further stated that for the operational situation in the first quarter of 2022, the company continues to recognize revenue from various projects that will gradually contribute from 2021, while actively bidding for new projects from both the public and private sectors. Additionally, the company plans to strengthen and enhance revenue opportunities by leveraging its expertise in technology and artificial intelligence (AI) along with various smart technologies to develop new solutions and improve the efficiency of existing Digital Platform products. The company is also preparing to announce its business direction in the first quarter of 2022.
“The demand for technology in both public and private sectors continues to rise, as seen in the transformation of various organizations, both within and outside the technology industry, which are continuously adjusting their business operations and transitioning to digitalization. As one of the experts in Digital Platform and AI Solutions, Sky ICT is committed to creating new solutions powered by AI technology and smart technologies to drive growth towards a New S-Curve, while enhancing the quality of life for Thai people and further connecting Thailand's Tech Ecosystem,” Mr. Sitthidet stated.
As of the end of 2021, the company has signed contracts and has future deliverables (Backlog) totaling approximately 17,216 million, which is expected to gradually generate revenue back to the company in 2022 of no less than 15%, contributing to the company’s continuous growth.
